چکیده

In the experiments conducted with cells from the spleen and regional lymphoid cells derived from the axillary and regional lymph nodes of the mice receiving subcutaneous transplantation of Ehrlich tumor cells, it has been demonstrated that these lymphoid cells possess an ability to inhibit the proliferation of the subtrain of Ehrlich tumor cells (JTC-11), and that there is a parallel relationship between the rate of appearance of immunologicallly competent cells among these sensitized lymphoid cells and the inhibitory effect of these cells on JTC-11. In the experiment to reinforce the potency of sensitized cells conducted by means of the diffusion chamber technique, it has been proven that, while it is not an absolute prerogative, it is necessary to have the sensitized lymphoid cells come in contact with the target cells is order to wield the power of the former to the fullest extent. In the tissue cultures of lymphoid cells, it has been shown that sensitized lymphoid cells has a shorter life span than non-sensitized ones. ∗PMID: 4221944 [PubMed indexed for MEDLINE] Copyright c ©OKAYAMA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL Acta Med. Cellular antibody in mice bearing Ehrlich cancer. I. A quantitative study on antitumor activity of cellular antibody in vitro.

For the purpose to clarify whether or not the cells of regional lymph nodes and spleen of the tumor bearing individual develop the antitumor activity the author observed the proliferation of JTC-11 cells in vitro by mixing with the lymph-node and spleen cells from the mice bearing Ehrlich ascites tumor in solid form. After 24to 48 -hour incubation the antitumor activity was estimated from the n...

Antitumor factors of regional lymph node cells in the transplantation of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells. II. Properties of antitumor factors.

With the purpose to elucidate further the properties of the supernatant F4 obtained by centrifugation at 100, 000 g from the regional lymph node cells of the Cb mice sensitized with EHRLICH ascites tumor cells, the supernatant (cf. Report 13) was subjected to the following treatments:. The supernatant (F4) was first diluted variously with Hanks solution. 2. F4 was passed through Seitz filter. 3...

In vitro studies on tumor-specific immunity by using C3H mammary cancer-A cells. II. Specificity in growth-inhibition effect of lymph-node cells from sensitized animal on target cells.

For purpose to study specificity in the growth inhibition effect of sensitized lymph-node cells on target cells, the regional lymph-node cells obtained from the truly isologous mouse previously inoculated with A strain cells (derived from C3H mouse mammary cancer) were cultured with A cells in various ways, and obtained the following results. 1. Those regional lymph-node cells from the isologou...

Antitumor Activity of Prosopis glandulosa Torr. on Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC) Tumor Bearing Mice

The antitumor activity of ethanol extract of Prosopis glandulosa Torr. (EPG) was evaluated against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) tumor model in Swiss albino mice on dose dependent manner. The activity was assessed using survival time, average increase in body weight, hematological parameters and solid tumor volume. Oral administration of EPG at the dose of 100, 200 and 400 mg/Kg, significantl...

Cellular cytotoxicity and serum inhibition in normal mice following transfer of xenogeneic tumor-sensitized cells.

Investigations were performed to elucidate changes in normal syngeneic recipients after they received tumor-sensitized cells. Transfer of regional or nonregional lymph node cells or spleen cells from tumor-bearing inbred C3HeB/FeJ mice to normal syngeneic recipients caused the recipients to produced bone marrow, which mediated in vitro cytolysis of immunizing tumor target cells. This finding wa...
